Hello! Day 2 in Korea consisted of more snow, since we were spent the night at Yongpyong and we weren't leaving for Seoul till later that arvo/night. So warning: LOTS OF SNOW PICTURES!!!! Also, the kid above is so cute right?!!! Mittens and all; this is why I want a kid~
We originally had no intentions to enter the snow-field, thinking that it was only for skiing people. So with full intentions of going back to sleep after breakfast till check-out, I wore my chucks down to buffet breakfast. However, our group of 4 decided to go down to the snow field at breakfast, as we were told there was a cable car that takes people up to the top of the mountains where they can do tourist-y stuff! So here begins the my slightly sad day of playing in the snow in chucks with holes in it! ^^
A beautiful day that day! Smooth ski field!! Makes me really want ski, but I don't know how to la....
Obligatory photos with the snow, as we wait for the tour guide to take us up to the cable car - result of eating and walking faster than the tour guide: MORE TIME FOR PHOTOS!!!!
Selca while we wait~ v---^_^---v
Picture with a snowman as we wait for cable car!!
Some aerial shots from the cable car ride...pretty long ride from memory! The snow gets thicker and thicker as you get higher and higher so when you will finally get to see some of these beautifully snow covered trees!
Finally getting to the top! Everything is covered in snow!!! And the contrast between the heated indoors landing of the cable car to the scarily cold outdoors is so big! But it's also very refreshing!
It was also very windy!! But that can't let that damage our mood can it?!!
Exploring with all the people in our tour!! Had to be so tactful not to photobomb others and to not be photo-bombed!
It's EXO's SHOWTIME!!!
Trying to be all pro with my DSLR!! Have to admit, really pretty right??!!
Here's my suffering...I stepped into some "powder snow" and my whole foot got stuck in the snow...Trying to get rid of as much snow as possible to avoid getting wet foot when it melts later in the day....pair that up with windy weather, and you get a very unfortunate looking Serena....
Who cares about a frozen foot, when you can SMELLLL the fresh air!!! Beats Echo Point at winter by loads la~~
Taking the stairs to I don't know where...it actually lead to nowhere...just up the other side....useless on that day, because the fog was really heavy....
Photo with my dearest umma~
Pretending to sit...I would've really sat if snow wouldn't melt and leave me with a wet butt...
We finally had enough of the cold and decided to head back into the indoors, but it wasn't time to leave yet, so we bought churros!!!! (3000won....)
A rather pretty cafe!! Just right when you're tired from all the snow and want to warm up with a cup of hot coffee and churros~
And then we went to some ice gallery place where we learnt how to make an ice cup as well as an ice museum. Wouldn't have gone myself, but since it was part of the tour, must tag along laahhh~
Some of the sculptures there...taking photos were rather challenging as there were a few tour groups there...and SOME PEOPLE just don't know how to read ENTRY and EXIT when it's written in every language possible!!!
Here comes the end to my cold journey in Korea...everything else is pretty warm...and not so photo loaded!!
Everland post coming soon - practically no photos at all because I was too busy playing to be taking photos with my camera!! So disclaimer ahead of time!
